To make the town look more attractive, the Civic Society has recruited help from local businesses and the councils to produce and site oak flower planters. This initiative has proved succesful. |

Horncastle Town Plan |

A Town Plan Steering Group has been formed by interested parties in Horncastle. The Civic Society has played a major part by heading up numerous groups looking at Conservation, Byways, Town Pride and Flooding. The Town Plan has now been printed and presented to our Town, District and County Councils. |

Pride of Place Awards |

Our most successful initiative during 2006 was the Pride of Place Awards scheme. In collaboration with the Horncastle News we highlighted and promoted the achievements of voluntary groups or individuals within our town. |
